“All right, real talk: I really thought ShiftBOOKD was good to go a couple years back. I launched it thinking we were set, and man, we hit a bunch of bumps. Bugs everywhere, stuff was glitchy, and I had about 100 folks in the beta just kind of laughing it off and bouncing.

But here’s the thing: I didn’t quit. I took all that as a lesson. It showed me how to roll with the punches and just keep building. And now? Now the app is on point, and I’m excited for everyone to see it. So if you’re reading this, let it be your reminder: don’t ever let a few setbacks stop you. Keep going, keep it cool, and let that journey inspire you.”

I watched you put everyone before yourself, even when life made it hard to breathe. I watched you work two jobs, raise a family on your own, and still find the strength to smile. I watched you build a barbershop and salon from nothing — only to have it taken away. And I watched you keep going anyway.

I saw firsthand what single mothers truly carry. What beauty professionals truly sacrifice. What it really means to be the only provider… and still show up with love.

I’m forever grateful for you, and blessed to call you my mother.

ShiftBOOKD was built with women like you in mind — the ones who give everything, even when no one sees it.
