Last spring when I visited the Mysterious Monroe House Haunting, I wrote this poem and left it there. Pam and Eddie were kind enough to frame and display it. When I went there last week, it was awesome to see it in the back room for all to see. I enjoy writing stuff like this, so it means a lot to me to get to share it with others. Thanks and enjoy!

I still have recordings to go thru, but here's a spooky story from my time at the State House in Fort Wayne, IN this past Saturday night. In a small room next to the kitchen, I laid my backpacks on a small card table. I took some equipment out of the backpacks, including my Zoom recorder, and left my main backpack wide open, with the recorder's protective case on top of the compartments. I went into a nearby room and setup everything. As soon as I started an EVP session, I heard something hit the floor. I went back into that room next to the kitchen, and the recorder's protective case is on the floor. Could I have actually left it near the edge of the backpack, where it could have teetered off? Possibly, but I don't think it's likely, since I always place it in the middle of the backpack (on top or slightly inside a compartment). Plus, when unzipped and left open, there is a 1/2" lip going around the backpack. The rest of the night was quiet, but it sure didn't start off that way. Stay spooky!

Mortuary Manor is a newer overnight place in Toledo OH. Up until this summer, it was a working funeral home called Urbanski Funeral Home. I believe the former owners left a lot of funeral home type stuff there - casket and chairs in a viewing area, showroom samples, equipment in the embalming room. Looks like a fairly large place (can't remember if I was there before when I was a kid). It's right off 1-75 and easy to find. Several investigators have already been there and it's supposed to be fairly active from what I've heard. Come check it out with us!
