I’ve been thinking a lot about the heavy exhaustion that comes from chasing.
We are conditioned to believe that if we want something, we have to run after it.
We have to force it into existence.
But the natural world doesn’t work that way.
Think about a quiet morning walking through the timber. The moment you step heavy and loud, everything scatters. The woods go entirely silent.
But if you sit still. If you simply observe and become part of the landscape. Life slowly returns. The ordinary becomes miraculous again.
It is the exact same with the things we want in our own lives.
We exhaust ourselves running after milestones, relationships, and external validation.
But there is a profound, grounded strength in staying still.
In cultivating your own mind.
Your own peace.
Your own quiet acre.
When you build a life that is rooted, authentic, and whole, you stop needing to sprint after what is fleeting.
The right things; the things truly meant for you; will naturally gravitate toward the environment you've nurtured.
What is one small way you are tending to your own garden this week?
