I ran for about a mile away on the dunes of the Sahara, away from the camp at dusk. It was there away from the tourists, where nobody saw me, and I could see nobody, where I felt it was just God, myself, and the Sahara. A desert that had been in the oldest continent on earth since the beginning of time. It was then that I questioned my existence, why me God? Why Am I here? My three best friends died before hitting 50 y/o. Why is it me that I am here witnessing the marvel of your creation? What have I done to deserve this? It was then that I started crying, because I don’t have an answer for that. I am alive today because God is great, and somehow he sees something in me to allow me to keep on living. I see the world in a different way than most people, I see it through a camera and a lens. I feel that I was born to bring these intimate moments to those who know me, which is reason I do what I do. So I can bring to others what God has allowed me to witness, I can only hope, my images can relay the emotion and the impact I felt, when I made them. Thats what I do, I freeze a moment in time and space for eternity.
