🌧️ I built it… now Florida gets to test it.

Anybody can build a truck camp setup in perfect weather.

The real question is… will it stay dry when a Florida thunderstorm rolls in?

With rain in the forecast (and a jammed pinky toe trying to slow me down 😅), I decided to set Blue up at the Cracker Compound and let Mother Nature do the field testing for me.

Sometimes the backyard is the best proving ground.

If it fails, you’ll see it.
If it works, you’ll see that too.

Everyone asks why survival gear is so expensive… nobody asks how I ended up here. 🤣

One minute you’re buying a backpack…

Next thing you know you’ve got a truck camp, kayak, Grayl, DeWalt tote, duty belt, and enough pouches to outfit a small platoon.

Out here, the wild don’t care. But the prepared? We survive. 🏕️🔥

Sometimes the best adventures aren’t the ones that go exactly as planned.

This trip reminded me that getting outside isn’t about perfect conditions or perfect gear. It’s about getting out there, learning something new, and enjoying the journey along the way.

If you’ve ever had a hike, camp, or outdoor trip take an unexpected turn, you’ll probably relate to this one.

This Fourth of July isn’t just another Independence Day.

I know to some folks that may not sound like much… but to me? That’s 200 real people who decided to stick around and follow this wild rebuild journey.
