Jenny with 605 Roots asked me to write a song about her husband Josh for his birthday.
He has such a heart to be home with his family and build a place where they can invite people in for retreats. Their nonprofit already offers therapy, using horses as the vessel to bring healing. Tomorrow they’re pouring concrete foundation for a bunkhouse to be moved onto their land.

As they build their dream Josh has been making do with what he’s got, driving a semi down the road to make ends meet…until the road carries him back home.
I wrote and produced the song, but when Jenny asked me what it would cost, I found it difficult to put a value to it.
She responded that she’d like to atleast Venmo me something so I could take my wife out for a burger.
So that’s exactly what we did, and then I wrote a song about selling my first song for some burgers. 🍔 😂

So Josh, this song’s for you brother. I hope it’s a blessing to you and your family on your birthday, and you have a peaceful ride today.

Sold my first song for some burgers 🍔 so we decided to go to a new place we heard about that makes amazing burgers, to make it official.
My wife grew up literally in the restaurant business, even lived in a bedroom her dad built onto the steakhouse, so it was gonna take ALOT to top that.
Gotta say they make a great burger. They were slammed busy when a 12-top and a 15-top walked in and took up every open table on a busy Saturday night rush, but our waitress, Jasmine, was a sweetheart and took very good care of us. We loved the atmosphere.
Great job CHUDS Pub and Grub
We hope to visit often and soon.

By the way, I wrote a song about selling a song for those burgers, and tonight is the debut!
Hope you all enjoy.

Are you going through a trial? Have you found the valley of despair?
This song is based on Ezekiel 37.
Imagine the implications of this vision.
If He can make dry bones come to life, what might He do with you and your circumstance?
