Psalm of Thanksgiving is a new work created by Max Stern. It is a Hebrew SATB a ca****la piece inspired by Psalm 100, drawing on Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms and the drama of Orff’s Carmina Burana. The soprano begins with a rhythmic motif, followed by voices singing Hariyu Ladonai Kol haaret (Make a joyful noise unto the Lord). Each part joins sequentially, building to a powerful Bou (come).
