I personally think bathing and grooming your dogs before leaving them in someone else’s care is just common courtesy 🤷🏼‍♀️

if someone is taking time out of their life to care for my animals, the least I can do is make sure they’re clean, comfortable, and ready to go. It’s one less thing for the sitter to worry about, and I think it’s just a thoughtful way to show appreciation for the person caring for your pets. ❤️

Two out of our three dogs are having a sleepover at home with a new friend while we’re away! 🐾 That means ONE lucky pup gets to tag along on vacation. Any guesses who’s coming with us? 👀

I’m so thankful to have a friend with an in-home dog wash station, because it means we can take our time and make bath day a little less chaotic 😂

Now… can you tell from these pictures which one actually enjoys bath time and which one is just patiently waiting for it to be over? 👀😂

Yesterday, Tate the Therapy Dog visited our local veterans hospital. These visits mean so much to us because they give us a small way to show our appreciation to the men and women who have served our country. We can’t fully understand everything each veteran has carried, but we can take the time to sit with them, listen, share a smile, and remind them that their service and their stories matter.

Showing appreciation doesn’t have to wait for a holiday or a special event. If you learn that someone is a veteran, thank them. If you see a veteran wearing a service hat at the ice cream shop, offer to buy their treat. Write a note, stop and listen, or simply make time for a genuine conversation. Small gestures can say, “I see you. I remember what you’ve given. I’m grateful.”

We live in a world that moves quickly, and it can be easy to let a simple thank-you pass us by. But gratitude means more when we put it into action. We’re thankful for every opportunity Tate gets to visit, and we hope his visits—and this reminder—encourage you all to show our veterans appreciation in the everyday moments, too ❤️🐾
