There are a lot of beautiful places in this world to explore but the greatest part of every journey isn’t the destination, it’s who you’re sharing it with.

Over the last four weeks, we’ve spent more than 60 hours in the car together. Countless miles. Early mornings. Late nights. Wrong turns. Gas station snacks. Endless conversations, comfortable silence, and memories we’ll laugh about for years.

Travel has a way of revealing who people really are. It tests your patience, your flexibility, and your ability to enjoy the unexpected. And every mile reminds me that I chose the right person to share this adventure with.

Choose someone who makes the long drives feel short.
Choose someone who turns detours into memories.
Choose someone you’d still want beside you after hours on the road with no destination in sight.

Because life is one incredible journey, and the person sitting next to you matters more than the places you’ll ever see.

🥖 It’s no secret we love to eat!

One of my favorite places we look forward to every year is Silver Dollar City in Branson, MO. The bread, the chips, and the smell of deliciousness in the air. Nothing beats stepping into the theme park and experiencing all the things it has to offer!

🚙 After 6½ hours on the road, seafood by the coast was exactly what we needed!

🦪 We stopped at Half Shell Oyster House in Biloxi, Mississippi, and it did not disappoint. From the New Orleans inspired atmosphere with antique touches, to the delicious seafood and outstanding service, it was a great start to our trip.

🦐 If you’re passing through Biloxi, the upstairs seating offers a great view of downtown and is definitely worth checking out. We’d happily stop here again for the oysters and seafood pasta!

🌊 We took a quick detour to Gulf Port, MS to enjoy and hour on the beach before finishing out our drive.

🏖️ 🇺🇸 Sometimes the best trips are the ones you never plan.

Thursday afternoon we decided to spend the Fourth of July at the beach, packed that evening, grabbed a quick nap, and hit the road at 4 AM Friday.

After stopping in Biloxi and Gulfport, we quickly decided the beaches weren’t quite what we wanted for this trip so we decided to keep driving until we reached Navarre Beach, Florida!

🌊💙 Crystal-clear water, beautiful white sand, and Zach’s very first Florida beach.

🏕️ We camped Friday night, spent all day Saturday on the beach, and watched the fireworks from a restaurant by the pier before driving home overnight.

Proof that the best adventures don’t always need a plan. ❤️

Reminder:
1. Wear your sunscreen
2. Limit sun exposure
3. Hydrate well before a trip

On the Caddo last year I got sun poisoning after too much sun exposure. We were camping on the river for 1 day, 2 nights and by the time we setup camp on the 2nd night, I could barely walk because my legs were so swollen from too much sun exposure. I was not careful enough to protect my legs while floating. It only lasted a couple days but was painful to say the least.

Know your limits and listen to your body 🍃 Nature is beautiful but can also be brutal!
