48 hours after my second microneedling session and everything is going really well. I’m excited to see where the results go from here. If you’re curious about the actual process, go back a couple of videos — I took you along for the whole thing.

But today, let’s talk about lunch.

A few of you have asked me to share more about what I eat and what has worked for me, so I thought I would start showing you.

Over the last couple of years, I’ve lost more than 90 pounds, and one of the biggest changes I made was finding a way of eating that I could actually be consistent with.

My work lunch is probably the best example.

I basically pack myself a grown-up snack plate. 😂 The formula stays pretty much the same — protein, vegetables, something I enjoy, and portions that work for me — but the actual foods change so I don’t get bored.

This is what came to work with me today.

Nothing fancy. Nothing complicated. Just a routine that has become part of my life and makes eating well much easier for me.

Sometimes you don’t need a night out.
You just need to make staying in feel differently.

There really aren’t any rules, now are there…

I think we should bring back the fondue pot.

You remember the one.

The pot. The little burner underneath. Those ridiculously long forks with the different colored ends so everybody knew which one was theirs.

My favorite was the bread, of course.

Some things deserved to come back.

Put the fondue in the middle of the table, throw together a charcuterie board, turn down the lights and put on the music you actually love.

And don’t make it too perfect.

The pillows don’t need to match. The charcuterie board doesn’t need to look professionally styled. You don’t need a theme.

The whole point is that for a few hours, an ordinary night doesn’t feel ordinary anymore.

Build the tent.
Eat the cheese.
Play the music.

Stay up too late.

Tell stories you’ve already told 100 times.

Laugh.

Or sit in there completely alone with a book and don’t explain yourself to anybody.

Sometimes changing your life for an evening is as simple as changing the scenery.

I’m 58 and one day I looked in the mirror and thought…you gotta be kidding me. So I did something about it.

This is my second treatment. It’s been 6 weeks.

Today was a little refresh day. ✨
I chose microneedling to start because it’s one of those treatments that feels doable, budget-friendly and realistic for BOTH women and men — without going overboard. Results are instant and just keep getting better. If you’ve been looking in the mirror lately thinking, I could use a little refresh too, this might be worth looking into.

And I didn’t just take my own word for it. 😉
