30 | 30 | 30
Dad always had a philosophy.
Play 30. Work 30. Play 30.
Legend.
I’ve always sought to live this philosophy, and here we are. Entering the second and middle stage.
This stage I’ve always dreaded.
Work? Stop playing?
I grew up barefoot in swamps, rivers & lakes.
Spent most my time dreamin’ & pissin’ around.
Never really thought I’d be prepared for this stage if I lived long enough to see it.
But here we are.
Even pissin’ off I knew if I made it to this stage I had to slowly lay a foundation over the years.
I hit this stage on 4/30.
Lost, unprepared and not feeling like myself.
I tried ignoring these feelings, numbing myself night after night. Ngl I felt ashamed for betraying myself.
My spark for life wasn’t really there anymore. Maybe it was the worms 🪱? Maybe it was me?
But sometimes life has to teach you lessons in weird ways. Sometimes it also sends you signs in wild ways.
If you stop listening to the signs, they stop coming.
But, when you pay attention you receive more.
I decided to listen, finally.
It was time to grow up.
Now as I’ve given myself space to start this next chapter I’m fckin stoked!
I’m tired with this endless, selfish playing.
I know the best times in life haven’t even begun.
The adventures, struggles & lessons that will come in the next 30 are what I’ve actually craved for years.
This stage is where legacy, a family and real purpose comes.
I’ve failed more times than imaginable in my first 30.
Every time I’ve learned something.
I regret none of it.
I’ll take those lessons into the next 30 (and hopefully pass some of them along 😅).
|30| will be the best era yet.
My focus is growing a family, business, myself and learning to lead with respect.
What once terrified me is what I’m most excited for.
Thanks Dad
