We're looking forward to the first annual Wahpeton Fine Arts Festival coming soon! The festivities kick off with the Artists' Reception and Award Ceremony for the Rural Art Show. This is held on Thursday, August 21 from 5-7 pm.

On Friday, August 22, Ellen Diederich will be at the gallery doing a painting demonstration beginning at 2 pm. At 5 pm, there will be a screening of the documentary "River" narrated by Willem Dafoe. Both events are free and open to the public.

Saturday, August 23 begins with a flower crafting class led by Leona Rogers. The class runs from 9:30-11:00 am at a cost of only $10. The Fine Arts Festival begins at 10:00 am with artist booth in the gallery, and both inside and outside Heritage Square. In addition to the booths, there will be artist demos, food vendors, and live entertainment. At 1:00 pm, Rachel Kercher will lead an acrylic paint pour class. The cost is also $10 per person, and registration is required. This class would be perfect for families, but we ask that any children be aged 10 or above.
