📢👥🗺️ The Colorado Office of Film, Television and Media is conducting a review of the Crew and Support Services directory and Locations directory. Keep an eye out for emails with links to update your listings, and if you haven’t already, consider submitting a listing to the free directories!

In order to make sure productions have the most updated information, listings that have not been updated in more than two years will be subject to archival if they are not updated before June 30, 2026, as well as regularly every two years going forward.

New ruling regarding filming on USFS land!

The Forest Service has issued a final rule revising existing regulations on filming and still photography permitting (36 CFR 251) to comply with the EXPLORE Act, which amended existing federal laws for filming on federal lands. The final rule reduces the administrative burden associated with permitting by eliminating the need for a permit when fewer than six people are filming. There’s also no fee or cost recovery charged for filming groups of fewer than nine people, unless special circumstances apply.
