I wanted to share photos of Heir of the Jabberwock a.k.a. Jabberwocky, our black smoke Maine C**n, who made his debut at the Catology Cat Show in Reno this past weekend.
He did amazing in the rings temperament-wise and was such a little trooper throughout the entire show. Since it was his first TICA show, we weren’t quite sure what to expect—but he handled everything like a champ. From being carried around everywhere, to being handled by the judges, to being surrounded by so many other cats, he stayed calm, patient, and sweet the whole time.
We’re incredibly excited to see what he will contribute to our program and we’re hoping he passes on his wonderful temperament to all of his future kittens—not to mention those sultry good looks.
Showing a Maine C**n for the first time was definitely a learning experience for me too! We had a bit of a grooming mishap the first day (I didn’t fully rinse the conditioner out of his coat). Lesson learned quickly—rinse, rinse, and rinse again! Submerging him partially in water helped make sure everything was thoroughly out of his coat. 💕
As we continue growing our page, please also follow Bay Area Maine C**n Polys on both Facebook and Instagram. We’ll be sharing more Maine C**n content soon! 💕
