I won’t be making the trek this year, but I’m really glad I’ve been able to experience this in the past 🌼

Hiking down into Linville Gorge to the Daffodil Flats isn’t easy, but that moment made it worth every step. Finding that field of daffodils is something I won’t forget.

I will say, the last time I was there, it felt like there were fewer daffodils than before… most likely from foot traffic.

A little reminder to enjoy places like this, but also protect them. ✨

Hello! 👋 I’m Janette — also known as Gypseegoddess.

In 2017, I left Florida and found my way to the mountains. Since then, our family weekends have been filled with adventure — trails, waterfalls, fresh air, and the kinds of moments that remind us why we step outside in the first place. I’ve never felt more at home than I do here in Western North Carolina.

I stepped away from posting on this page for a while, but never away from exploring. The adventures continued...

This space is for movement and pause. For adventure and reflection. For getting outside, breathing deep, wandering often, and finding joy along the way.
