****Thank you to anyone who submitted an application for this courtesy posted pup. We have 3 applications we’re actively checking and will send to Molly’s owner. It will be entirely up to the dog’s owner to reach out to those applicants and arrange a private adoption. We have no involvement in courtesy posted dogs / private adoption.
While we have so many incredible BARC friends on who interact with our page, its very unfortunate how many individuals choose to display limited emotional control when the TRUTH is presented about the two options dog owners have in the state of CT:
•abandon (but if your dog is microchipped you will be arrested)
•euthanasia (yes, healthy dogs are euthanized every single day. Please get off your delusional train ride that it “does not happen in CT” you sound so silly)
•Give away to a random degenerate on the Free Pets Pages - this option is by far the WORST one - please dont ever do this to your dog!
If reality hurts your feelings and causes you to lose control in the comments, channel that emotion and draft emails to YOUR LOCAL LEGISLATORS, SHOW UP AT TOWN COUNCIL MEETINGS, RUN FOR A LEADERSHIP POSITION, VOLUNTEER WITH CT VOTES FOR ANIMALS
Your comments simply harm the dog and reinforce why most Rescues refuse to offer courtesy posts. It’s not worth the headache dealing with such insanity of emotionally immature adults. So, dogs suffer BECAUSE YOU CANT CONTROL YOURSELF…. how sad
To everyone who’s not a lunatic, shared the post, or left kind words of support, Thank you! We see you & appreciate you! 💛✨🙏🏼

COURTESY POST: MUST BE GONE BY TOMORROW
📍CT - The poor sweet dog in a cage is called Molly. She’s had one owner her whole life. She is 6 years old, without too much detail, the owner sadly cannot keep her and she will need be adopted by tomorrow morning (Friday 11/7) or she will be abandoned/euth/etc. This is a courtesy post. We have no say in what an owner chooses to do with their dog. As a reminder, CT offers no options for surrendering a pet. When this owner called the municipal shelters they were told no, sorry—which is the norm. And, abandonment is a crime in CT and they’d rather spend time and money and resources pursuing that instead of creating a common sense solution. So please keep this in mind before taking to the comments. Thanks!
