The Life Story of Denise Marie Mendes Fields
My name is Denise Marie Mendes Fields, from Bridgeport, Connecticut.
My life is a story of family, love, faith, creativity, music, entrepreneurship, and the lessons that come from living through real experiences. I have learned that life is not always about having everything figured out. Sometimes, it is about continuing to move forward, learning from what you have experienced, and becoming stronger and wiser along the way.
I am a wife and mother, a woman who values family and the meaning of commitment. Family has played an important role in my life, and I believe deeply in the importance of love, togetherness, memories, and leaving something meaningful behind for the people who come after me.
I am also a woman of faith. My relationship with God is an important part of how I understand my life and the blessings, challenges, and opportunities that have come my way. I believe that every chapter has a purpose, even when the purpose isn’t immediately clear.
Creativity has always been another important part of who I am. I express myself through music, design, storytelling, cooking, decorating, and creative ideas. My entrepreneurial spirit has led me to develop ideas and projects that allow me to turn creativity into something people can experience and remember.
Music became a major part of my creative journey through my work as DJ Ice Queen. Through DJ Ice Queen, I have created music concepts, remixes, album artwork, and songs that reflect different parts of life and emotion. My music allows me to tell stories in another language—the language of rhythm, sound, energy, and feeling.
My creative journey has included projects such as “Baby You,” “Autumn Kisses,” “Thee Old Me,” “No Love For You,” “Addiction Remix,” “Velvet Sky,” “So Seductive,” “Peaceful Flowers,” “Family Ain’t Family No More,” and many others.
Some of my music speaks about love. Some speaks about relationships and family. Some reflects confidence, struggle, peace, growth, or simply having fun. Together, these creative projects represent different pieces of my personality and experiences.
My entrepreneurial side is also important to my story. I have developed creative business ideas, including work connected with Talent Hands By Denise LLC, involving arts and crafts, interior decorating, and party planning. I see creativity not only as something to enjoy but also as something that can become an opportunity, a business, and part of a legacy.
I am also a storyteller. Life teaches us through experiences—both beautiful and difficult. I believe there is value in talking about those experiences because someone else may see themselves in your story and realize they are not alone.
Marriage and relationships are another meaningful part of my journey. Through the life I share with my husband and family, I have explored themes of love, commitment, partnership, respect, and what it means to build a life together.
I have also experienced the importance of remembering the people we love. Loss reminds us that our time together is precious and that memories become part of the legacy we carry forward.
At this stage of my life, I am continuing to create. I am continuing to learn. I am continuing to love my family, express myself through music and creativity, and build things that carry my name and my story.

And most importantly, I am still becoming everything God has called me to be.
