BronxNet is an independent, not-for-profit organization, established under the Cable Television Franchise Agreement between the City of New York and Cablevision of New York City. The station provides local television by the people of the Bronx, for the people of the Bronx. BronxNet programs four channels - 67, 68, 69 and 70 - on the Cablevision system and six channels - 33, 34, 35, 36, 37 and 38 on the Verizon Fios system in the Bronx. Today at 11 a.m., Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. will host a media preview of the 9th Annual “Savor the Bronx” Restaurant Week at Seis Vecinos, a Central American restaurant that is featured in the 2020 Michelin Guide and is located in the Longwood neighborhood of The Bronx.

“Savor the Bronx” Restaurant Week is produced by the Bronx Tourism Council and this year takes place from January 6 through January 17, 2020.

The media preview will feature samples from several borough eateries and food producers, including Ceetay, Bronx Brewery, Empanology, and Bricks & Hops.

This year, 45 Bronx eateries will take part in “Savor the Bronx” Restaurant Week.

🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️On December 19th, Montefiore Health System Quality Collaborative spread holiday cheer at PS 11 by giving 11 students bicycles to promote an active and healthy lifestyle. The bikes were built by the Montefiore Quality Collaborative as a team exercise and given to students who have shown outstanding work in their classrooms and participation in extracurricular activities. The students also received helmets, locks, and bike safety training. 12 additional bikes were also distributed to PS 199 students the next day.🚲🚲

It's recorded as the worst natural disaster to hit the U.S. Virgin Island, Dominica and Puerto Rico -- with estimates in damage to the U.S. Commonwealth anywhere from $45 to 90 billion as a result of Hurricane Maria, the Category 5 storm that tore through the Island in September of 2017.
