In celebration of Women's History Month, Madan Sara Film is coming back to Prince Edward Island today via PEI Advisory Council on the Status of Women, Institute of Island Studies, and City Cinema today. Come out and support if you are in the area.

The Institute of Island Studies and PEI Advisory Council on the Status of Women will host a film screening and discussion at City Cinema on Tuesday March 4, at 2:00pm. We will view Madan Sara: The Power of Women www.madansarafilm.com.

The film is described as, “If Haiti has continued to resist and exist, it is in large part because of the persistence, discipline, and vision of valiant Haitian women. Haitian filmmaker Etant Dupain has profiled a particular group of women whose work is at the heart of Haiti’s informal economy.” Lulain Childs, filmmaker and co-producer of the documentary, will join Laurie Brinklow, Chair of the Institute of Island Studies, in leading discussion following the screening.

City Cinema doors will open at 2:00, concessions available. Tickets are free of charge, available by reserving at: www.citycinema.ca or at the door until capacity is reached.
