You step into a Pizza Hut and it feels like you have been pulled straight back into the 1980s red vinyl booths stained glass lamps checkered tablecloths and even a glowing Pac Man machine in the corner This nostalgic vision is being led by Tim Sparks president of a company operating more than 90 Pizza Hut locations He is driving a major effort to remodel over 80 restaurants in a retro style inspired by the brands 80s and 90s era The comeback includes the return of salad bars oversized red plastic cups and those iconic hanging lamps that once defined the Pizza Hut dining experience For Sparks it is not just about nostalgia but about creating spaces where families can disconnect from phones and spend real time talking together Some of the original decor pieces are hard to find especially the classic lamps but the project continues to move forward regardless Reports even suggest that some customers are traveling hours just to sit in those red booths and relive the experience
