Still playing football. Chasing a dream. Jaden Abongo has spent years searching for his place. Never easy. His journey has been filled with highs and lows. From state championship wrestling, to multiple colleges, his dream college, to finally finding a scholarship. It’s a story of adversity that every youth athlete could benefit from.

Along the way he became a social media sensation. He has over 230k followers, over 4.2 million likes on TikTok, and he’s just getting started. Being raised in Brookfield helped shape the humor and stories. He’s now sharing with the world. You’ll love this story.

Do you remember watching how you acted because you knew everyone knew your parents?

Steve Haag shares some of his memories that helped shape him. He discusses being in the BHS Hall of Fame, Bulldog sports, college football, his biggest influences and rivals, and how growing up in Brookfield helped shape his path toward community involvement and ultimately being Mayor of Mexico.

We've got a new episode loading!

Growing up in Brookfield shaped Steve Haag. His family values, work ethic, and upbringing has taken him from B-Town to Mizzou to Mayor and so many places in between. We talk being in the BHS Hall of Fame, small towns, football legends, his biggest rivals, wrestling, DJing, community involvement, data centers and more.

Steve will be at the Bulldog Quarterback Club banquet on July 24th to join us in meeting the team, celebrating the 2015 team, and listening to legendary coach Dave Shaw.
