The View from Ocean Parkway was created for those who care about the safety and quality of life of this wonderful greenway through which many thousands travel by foot, bicycle or car. The capital improvement of the Ocean Parkway malls is just a healthy start and new energy in maintaining and enhancing this magnficent boulevard. This five mile green ribbon through Brooklyn to the sea is a resource

that we cannot take for granted and we urge all residents and visitors to support the following obectives and goals of our new support group.

-to protect Ocean Parkway from vandalism and crimes against residents and visitors.
-To improve the safety, enjoyment and quality of life for residents, pedestrians, bicyclists, and drivers on Brooklyn's beautiful and historic Ocean Parkway.
-To add flowering plants along the greenway.
-To add street maps at strategic locations so visitors can identify important and historic locations that are significant in the growth of Brooklyn.
-To promote the cleanliness of the malls and roadway.
-To monitor the condition of the trees and grassy areas of the malls.
-To share government date on crime, traffic accidents and fires on the OP corridor.
-To identify the maintenance needs of the road surface, park benches, sidewalks, street signals, lights,and signs
-To increase the safety of our children through safe havens and corridors.
-To inform citizens on the history of Ocean Parkway and its significance in the development and vitality of Brooklyn.
-To research in historic archives for photos, maps, etc. that took place on the Ocean Parkway greenway and can be shared with the community.
-To advocate for wifi coverage along the length of the parkway.
-To be a place where citizens can express their thoughts and concerns over conditions on Ocean Parkway and the greenways.
-To identify issues with vehicular traffic flow and safety.
-To partner with individuals, businesses, local community organizations and government officials agencies to create a better experience for all citizens who use Ocean Parkway.
