After 25 years in Bushwick, NYC DJ, event producer, and community builder is leaving the neighborhood he helped shape. As the driving force behind the Trü Skül party series, he brought Detroit and Midwest techno to NYC when few others were doing it. From his longtime space at 915 Broadway, he launched Future Is Now ( ), a hybrid livestream, DJ series, and gallery space that helped keep underground culture alive, even through the pandemic.

But now, after his rent was suddenly doubled, Huggins made the decision to move his family and his work abroad. Days after they packed up, tragedy struck, a violent car crash left his wife in critical condition and their lives upended.

Congresswoman Nydia Velázquez () leads the celebration as Grand Marshal, honoring the powerful role of women in preserving and evolving Puerto Rican culture across generations.
