As of 2020, it is also a record label. We focus on personalities crisscrossing art, music and culture with strong ties to our home, New York City.

Launched in February 2015, Love Injection is a self-published New York dance music and culture fanzine available at independent record stores nationally and globally, founded by Paul Raffaele & Barbie Bertisch. Love Injection is a monthly print-first music fanzine established in February 2015 by Barbie Bertisch & Paul Raffaele in Brooklyn, New York, with a record label launched in 2020. We are inf

initely curious about all styles of music and the radiating effects it has on communities. We are dedicated to excavating stories that fill the gaps, contradict and tie together the densely published history of the city. We’re in print to give you a break from the digital noise and create a tangible archive of ideas, ephemera and ultimately, a moment in time. Clicks are fleeting. Online archives are disappearing. Zines are collected, saved and passed on to new generations. It’s important for us to give a platform to the underserved figures that have previously and are currently shaping our communities as we know them. Between the covers you’ll find long-form interviews, think pieces, original illustrations, record charts, photo essays, book reviews, poetry, technical tutorials, local party recommendations and new formats weaving in and out each month. Our interviews are always conducted live, recorded and transcribed with minimal editing to capture the truest intent of the speaker. More than anything else, our goal is to build and foster a like-minded, music- obsessed community to have shared, enlightened experiences together.

It's been 10 years of Love Injection and a lot has transpired in a decade. Annabel Ross took on the winding task of writing about our story and creative output for The Vinyl Factory's freshly relaunched website. Love Injection exists to celebrate other voices, but it was refreshingly easy to talk to her about what is in store, how becoming parents changed our priorities, and what drives us to keep going.
