A Broken System: Family Court in the United States, Volume 2 (Available for Free in Kindle Unlimited) “At the moment when your right to be heard is taken, the truth within doesn’t go dormant; it burns stronger and becomes a force of its own. That is the point where you begin to punch the keys, report the findings, and behind all of it continuously write the story that no one else can: your own.” Now Available on Amazon:
I'd like to be a guest Arthur: U.S. Senate candidate Dr. Scott Noren "Fed Up" with high student loan interest Monday, October 17th, 2018 Ithaca, October 17th – U.S. Senate candidate (NY) Dr. Scott Noren says that the time has come for a completely new approach on how we run the government student loan programs. In 2013, the interest rates for student loans were tied to the 10 Year Treasury rate. There are maximums in place, but he says "they are ridiculous" at over 10%. "This fabricated umbilical cord to the Treasury Note should have been cut a long time ago" says Dr. Noren. During his post college, dental school and oral surgery residency time periods, he experienced compounding interest, forbearance, and deferments just to get by and avoid default. "I worked for the U.S. Army during part of that time and earned 1/5th of the pay of my colleagues at that time but unfortunately did not get loan forgiveness or reduced repayment options". Dr. Noren says the time has come to disconnect the link there and cap rates at 3% for all government student loans. We can build in some system to require a minimum GPA, but we have to be careful not to overdo that because in some cases, there are students who had poor study skills early in middle school or high school but have turned things around towards senior year. There should be some ability to get the loans they need if that has happened. "Education, especially at the community college level should be easily attainable for more people" says Dr. Noren. "There are people who just can't afford to go and they don't quite qualify for free grants or free community college that some politicians would have you believe". You can learn more about Dr. Noren's U.S. Senate write in campaign at www.norenforsenate.com The election is November 6th and he is a write in as "Scott Noren". Contact: [email protected]
I rendezvoused with Alessandra Biaggi yesterday. Putting together a press conference with Kathleen Cleary, Greg Fischer, hopefully Perry Gershon and Liuba Gretchen-Shirley, maybe others to draw attention to our failure to adequately address the need to reform our statute of limitations currently shielding pedophiles from prosecution. A two-pronged approach: Confront the IDC and the Republicans they empowered to stop reform in NY, and challenge the Feds to use civil rights law to over-ride state statutes. Eight states and the Territory of Guam have no statute limiting prosecution; NY's statute was written by pedophiles. In my opinion, this is a violation of Article 1 of the 14th Amendment - the Due Process and Equal Justice clause. We must stop devouring our children and spitting out damaged goods. I can tie child sex abuse to school shootings, bullying of people and animals, sexual harassment, rape, porn, drug, alcohol, and nicotine addiction, suicide, and many adolescent and teen behaviors that are really cries for help. I know of what I speak - I'm a survivor whose memory returned at age 45. Twenty+ years ago the Center for Missing and Exploited Children told me that I will never succeed in this quest. That is unacceptable as long as I'm alive.
Good move. Wish you success in your program.👍 Ahmed Shakir P.E. VP DC37
Keep up the great work Arthur and a big regards ! Marty Needelman
