Choate Marketplace is proud to be the home of the Village Nutshell — a retail-forward, self-published magazine that celebrates the Village of Brooklyn.

That’s right! This publication is self-published in-house by our dedicated team, making it that much more personal. Each of us walks the square to stay connected to trends, themes, and all the things happening in town.

From there, Kate, our Editor-in-Chief, starts shaping stories based on what she’s seen and what we’ve gathered as a team. Alli, our Editorial Director, jots down notes, builds out ideas, and pulls everything together into engaging features. Then she passes those stories to Tiffany, our Copy Editor, who proofreads and polishes everything. Meanwhile, Kaitlyn, our Art Director, heads back into the village with Kate to capture beautiful images that bring these stories to life and showcase our thoughtfully curated local shops. Last but not least, Carrie, our Graphic Designer, works her magic on the final design, mocking up the layout and collaborating with Kate to make sure every detail is just right.

We’re so excited to share this labor of love with you — and to shine a light on the incredible community we’re proud to call home. 🧡
