Curtis Sliwa MUST Exit the Mayoral Race
As the 2025 New York City mayoral race reaches a turning point, one fact is clear: Curtis Sliwa’s presence serves no purpose except splitting votes and helping Zohran Mamdani, the Democratic Socialists of America’s most controversial figure. It is time for Sliwa to step aside.
Polls show Sliwa at the bottom, far behind Andrew Cuomo, Eric Adams, and Mamdani. He has no path to victory, yet by remaining in the race he risks dividing the anti-socialist vote and enabling Mamdani’s rise. The Jewish Voice and others have warned of deep concern in Jewish and pro-Israel circles about Mamdani’s ties to BDS, his refusal to reject the slogan “Globalize the Intifada,” and his disregard for rising antisemitic violence.
A Mamdani mayoralty is not abstract—it would impose radical policies: rent freezes, city-run supermarkets, police budget cuts, and higher taxes on “whiter, wealthier” neighborhoods, threatening economic collapse, more crime, and deeper division.
Sliwa’s long record of fabrications and failed campaigns proves he was never a serious option. His real skill has always been self-promotion, not governance. His 2021 mayoral bid lacked vision, plans, or credibility. Today, he remains a spoiler, not a solution.
Every vote for Sliwa helps Mamdani. If he truly cares for New York, Sliwa must put aside his vanity project and allow a real contender to unite the opposition. The stakes are too high for ego-driven politics. The city needs leadership, not sideshows.
