re.write magazine

re.write magazine A bi-monthly online magazine dedicated to storytelling. But not your average storytelling... These stories are of ordinary people, whose lives have been transformed by a very extraordinary God.

Each story is nonfiction, unembellished, and sometimes, extremely raw. But here's the spoiler alert: each story ends with hope. www.rewritemagazine.com

"at the table" by Mark Ratto

It comes with great sadness to let you all know that our dear friend Gonzalo passed away last week. We had the honor of featuring Gonzalo's story in 2014 (http://rewritemagazine.com/archive/vol-2/at-the-table-by-mark-ratto/). At that time, his battle with cancer was in the very early stages and during the interview process, he would talk about it with a huge smile on his face, saying, "I know God loves me. He's got a plan for me. I'm not worried about it because God will take care of me." Gonzalo was the embodiment of the living Gospel. A man completely and unashamedly transformed by Jesus. He stood free from his past wrongs because Grace gave him that confidence. But more than anything, he was truly a joy to be around. We want to extend our condolences to his friends and family. He will always be an inspiration to us and we thank him for that. We are almost 100% positive he gave Jesus a big bear hug when they met last week.

"if you say go" by Melody Joy Welton

Good evening/morning, wherever you are! We've got a new issue hot off the press, and we're itching to get it to you asap. We think you'll find the newest story to not only be extremely cute ("Six pairs of little feet pattered across the floor as the door to their playroom opened..."), but an inspiring and hope-filled example of obedience ("If you say go, I'll go. If you say stay, I'll stay"). So before you do anything else, why don't you click on the link below? :)

Justin Bieber - Love Yourself (PURPOSE : The Movement)

Loved seeing Keone and Mari's ridiculous talent in Justin Bieber's video "Love Yourself" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oyEuk8j8imI). And if you haven't yet read their story, do it now at http://rewritemagazine.com/archive/vol-2/dangerous-by-elysabeth-ratto/. The faith, favor, talent, and creativity that just oozes out of them gives us goosebumps every.single.time.
