It was reading about veganism on a plane 20 years ago that inspired me to go from vegetarian to vegan and then from vegan to activist. Reading this book on a plane today has inspired me to do more to dismantle racism in the animal protection movement. Each essay leaves you feeling empowered, with specific steps to take to make the movement stronger and more equitable. Thank you to Encompass for doing the important work of making this movement equitable and effective. Thanks to all the contributors who write with humility and bravery. And of course thx to Lantern Publishing & Media for publishing it!

Shamefully, we have been experimenting on animals for decades. Now the question is why is it still going on??
