I wanted to tell a story about a black man deciding to change his toxic life and face his childhood trauma by attending group therapy. We haven't seen this on film and I'm excited to tell the story of real brothas. No supermen, security guards or thugs. Just humans tryna make it. I hope it sparks an internal discussion amongst every man and our circles. I hope that it encourages us to do the work. Its about that time!

I took this amazing teenage Director to @angelthedirector to Urbanworld Film Festival. He was blown away, his dream felt tangible and opportunities abundant. Particularly for filmmakers/artists of color, we have to piece together our education. Steve Spielberg doesnt live down the street.

As mentor I try and share with him the things I wish someone told me. Not for him to avoid struggle but for him to be prepared for it. This #GivingTuesday take a look at the I AM Project. Nurture young dreamers.

I cant tell how tired I was. Trying to finish this project 3 years in is the hardest thing Ive done to date. We finished pickups for my short film last weekend #HUSHFIlm. So I wrote and produced this show after being denied another promotion to Associate Producer on several shows after working as a Production Assistant for 3 years! I quit and didn't work for a year to focus on producing my own ish. This cast and crew held me down soooo much. They showed up every shoot. Much love to yall and I can't wait to make it so I can finally pay yall!!!!

I was/am blessed. Everything kinda kicked off after that. I just had to stop asking for permission. Why do we try and shrink ourselves into places that demean our abilities smh. Never going back.
