Stayed busy today. Fished this morning, but there’s nothing to brag about. Got home and started the real work: respooling some of my personal and loner rods, retying leaders, restocking my wade box and tackle bag. I took a moment to read my Bible and rigged some more corks. Howdy folks, this is a late post, but I wanted to go ahead and talk about something. I recently had the opportunity to help out with the / Owner’s tournament this past weekend, which was an absolute blast. I helped out with the live release portion of the tournament, which is a great part of the tournament, allowing anglers to skip the line and win awesome prizes. I’m estimating roughly 100 fish were released, with 30 of them going to to be released for the , which will give anglers the opportunity to win a truck, a boat, and for young ones to win awesome scholarships. It was such an honor to be a part of an amazing tournament that pushes conservation. As many of you know, I strive to preach catch and release and keep what you’re going to eat. When I got the call from Kelly to ask if I would be willing to volunteer, I couldn’t say yes any quicker. It was nice seeing a lot of old friends and meeting some new friends. I appreciate , , , and the Shallow Sport crew for allowing me to help. I can’t wait for next time. Y’all have a wonderful Friday. Stay safe, tight lines, and God bless.

Being a bigger guy, it's essential to stay in some type of shape. Even going for a very long walk on off days or lifting some weight can keep a big guy in shape. Don't let my size fool you; I'm pretty fast and pretty strong.

I've finally gotten organized and figured out what I need to restock on. I'm enjoying a couple of days off the water, relaxing, but the work never stops: respooling reels, changing leaders, and restocking my wade box and tackle bag. The work never stops. Always a good time doubling up with good trout - the ol' jalapeño popper balltail by KWigglers Lure Co. did the trick for me. Clay said he wanted to hold my fish for the pic 😂😂
