🚨 ATTENTION 🚨

Waller County Sheriff's Office is warning drivers about someone impersonating a police officer in the county.

Please be aware and cautious if you are traveling to or from the Houston on 290

On the night of June 19th at about 10:00 PM, a car, possibly a Dodge Charger, equipped with red and blue emergency lights pulled a motorist over in the 25000 block of Joseph Road near FM 1488. As the operator of the vehicle approached the motorist's vehicle, he had a gun drawn pointed at the motorist and ordered her out of the vehicle. The motorist took off and drove to a family member's home. The vehicle possibly followed the motorist to the neighborhood but did not follow her into the neighborhood.

The Waller County Sheriff's Office was notified and are investigating the incident. We know that it was not a WCSO vehicle and believe that it could possibly be someone impersonating a police officer.

Please be aware that the WCSO does not conduct traffic stops using unmarked vehicles. All of our vehicles are clearly and plainly marked and our deputies will be in clearly identifiable uniforms.

Please stay vigilant and stay safe. If you are pulled over and you are unsure of who it is, please call 9-1-1 or call our dispatch at 979-826-8282. If you have any information or have had a similar situation happen to you, please call us.

Health experts explain why you shouldn't worry when getting the second dose of your COVID-19 vaccine

Getting BOTH doses of the COVID vaccine is crucial. If you do experience side effects they only last 24-48 hours, I personally can attest to that.

"It's not debilitating. It's just, it's a bit more stressful than the first dose was. Maybe they run a slight fever or, they have chills or they are kind of out of commission for 24 hours, but it's a very rapid recovery," Chief Jim Stewart shared with KRHD 25 News.

Reveille X is ready to assume her duties!

Miss “Reveille in Training” stopped by today to remind me just whose couch is in my office, and also to let me know how excited she is to assume her duties as Reveille X, “The First Lady of Aggieland” this Friday at Final Review on Kyle Field. She has had the last few months to train alongside Reveille IX and adjust to life in Aggieland, and she’s ready and raring to go! A big thanks to Cadet Colton Ray, a former Mascot Corporal for Reveille IX, for taking such good care of Reveille X. He has helped make her transition to Aggieland a smooth one, and we greatly appreciate his patience and his willingness to help prepare Reveille X for her new role. Best wishes to Reveille IX as she retires to the Stevenson Companion Animal Life Care Center on campus, where she will live among other retired animals and in the care of some dedicated veteranarians. She has been a superb Texas A&M mascot, and we wish her well in her well earned retirement at the Stevenson Center. It’s an exciting time at Aggieland as we retire Reveille IX and welcome Reveille X as The First Lady of Aggieland this Friday at Final Review on Kyle Field! Gig ‘em, Reveille!!
