I’m going to be switching up the way I’m going to be putting out music for now on..
Truthfully I’ve tried to play along with the social media rat race, further learning about what balance can work for me. The redundancy of monthly releases and amount of posting that comes with it, just takes away from the things that are important to me within music and simply life. As a lot of other people, constant engagement is draining. Especially when you love hard.
Social media doesn’t always translate the intention that is put into music. The plan/goals I had put in place previously for my releases just feels a bit forced and I have enjoyed it much less scrambling around constantly to prepare art, posts, ect.. it drains the intention and I’ve found myself writing less… as someone who seeks fun in all corners of my life, I had to step back and reassess how to get everything to balance with what is actually important to me. Back to the roots.
This means less CONTENT but more MUSIC. Using our EYES less and our EARS more. Going back to let the music do the talking….
That being said.. I will be putting out 1-2 Full Album/ LP each year, with a few EPs & singles sprinkled here and there. Instead of trying to spread love out into a bunch of small projects, it will be wrapped up into larger bodies of work. Meaning more time to write more music for myself and all of you.
