The garden that on giving. I have not taken out any of my summer veggies and at the same time harvesting from the fall garden. Now its time to prep the tunnel, something I do every October, and plant my last found in to harvest through the winter.

Life is so busy and so good. Ive really ditched the social media lately and its felt good. Seasons come and go. And this season is one of homeschool, preserving the harvest, now a almost 5 month old with longer wake times 🤪 and prioritizing getting in the best health and shape. All of that adds to an already busy day with 3 Littles.

This is just a reminder, if your plants don't take off right away, whether its because they are stunted, pest damage, sick, etc...you typically always have time to 1. Start seeds or 2. Put in transplants.

Ive had a garden for many years now. Im typically always succession sowing, but a second succession of pole beans was a first for me. Because ive never had trouble with them. This year though the excess rain early on completely stunted them. Later in June I planted again and they are producing abundantly. Enough now I have plenty canned, we have ate so many sautéed and now they're going into the freeze dryer for a long term shelf stable pantry staple.

Its easy to accumulate things. And living like we do we have to have stuff, jars, cannere, tools, scrap piles...because ...

Its easy to accumulate things. And living like we do we have to have stuff, jars, cannere, tools, scrap piles...because it all gets used. But even knowing that parts of me cringe at the thought of "keeping it just in case"..I need a vision for it or I need it to go. Then I find myself sometimes with things like 1 coffee cup or 6 forks and at times that can be inconvenient too 😅
