Across the nation and in our town, public transit is experiencing a revolution. Not only is ridership going up, but it's just become COOL.
To ride the train or bus, and actually interact with others rather than sit alone in your car, is to stick your middle finger to the oil and gas companies running our country right now.

Four days left to submit public comment on Trump's rescission of the Roadless Rule for the nation's last remaining wild spaces.
It may feel fruitless to submit comment, but as their actions kill wildlife, destroy drinking water, and take away our human desire to wander in the wild, don't let them think they had our blessing.

The USDA just announced plans to rescind the Roadless Rule, putting 45 million acres of backcountry forests at risk. Submit your comment by Sept. 19.

This corrupt double standard, this "blue wall of silence," this "it's a brotherhood" is getting people killed.
It's further eroding trust in police.
It's unacceptable. It's inexcusable.
No one should be OK with the idea that "Cops can drink and drive whenever they want."

New: When police drink and drive, they don't face the same consequences as civilians. While some receive traffic citations, almost none receive DUIs. That's especially the case in Central and Western New York.

In the case of DJ Granville, he got only a jaywalking ticket.

🚅 71% of those polled in the Towns of Tonawanda and Amherst, where we plan to expand the rail system, support it!

“Over 80 percent predict that people will use it, and 42 percent say that they themselves will," SRI Director Don Levy says. "Large majorities think the expansion will provide reliable transportation into the next decades, connect people with jobs, and generate economic development, while some worry about construction disruptions and property values.” 📣👍
