I started GC in 2003, releasing a series of recordings of a local music Festival. GC then started producing and releasing some awesome Buffalo based artists called Last Conservative, Klear, The Juliet Dagger, Terry Sullivan and Agent ME, as well as an experimental electronic unit of my own called Amungus. As time passed everyone kind of moved on and none of the original GC artists are all that act
ive anymore. But, when one of the artists from my label, The Juliet Dagger, went on a trip to Japan to perform and record with Naoko from Shonen Knife in 2006 (You can still get the album on the site …It's called "Hi-Ya!"), our passion for J-Rock (Japanese Rock) began to grow, and over the next 6 years we released albums and DVDs by Japanese acts including Shonen Knife, Pinky Doodle Poodle, DJ Sashimi, TsuShiMaMiRe, MOLICE and LAZYgunsBRISKY. As you will find with most indie labels, we do this because we truly love the music. Thank you for supporting GC, and I hope you enjoy music that we have here at the label.
