With the resurgence of vinyl records in 2019, no one had predicted it, or saw it coming. It turned out to be a true cultural change, and an organic re-discovering of the "vinyl record" that has been growing ever since.

It seems something possible similar is happening with the Compact Disc. It is still early on to tell, but CD pressing orders are steadily increasing at Turntable Merch.

One thing for sure is that fans of bands, artists, and labels will always have the desire to buy and collect physical media of their favorite music.

When the resurgence of vinyl records began around 2009, no one predicted it, or saw it coming. We did not know if it was a short-term trend or an organic discovery of the "vinyl record."

Something similar may be happening with interest in the "compact disc". It might be that folks are realizing that that after a move or two a large vinyl collection is a logistical challenge and a a couple of hundred CD's fit nicely in a wall rack.

Either way, it shows that fans of music want to own, and collect "physical" versions of their favorite bands and artists.
