It’s just so pretty, especially in Walnut. And the base is made from Orange Osage, contrasting nicely with the saber itself.

There were way too many SpongeBob explosions to choose from but I will be impressed if you can identify which scene this was from. I was on a roll this past Saturday and wasn’t able to film the process of making this saber, but there will be more similar to it in the future for sure.

Kit Fisto has a “heavy” sounding name and so deserves a heavy Oak hilt! Oak is notoriously not great for carving so I reserve the designs that have less carving required for when I’m using Oak. That being said, I absolutely love the finished look of Oak!
