Happy Down Syndrome Awareness Month!! 💙💛💙

My darling son...

“I’d choose you; in a hundred lifetimes, in a hundred worlds, in any version of reality, I’d find you and I’d choose you.”

Again and again and again.

While I was pregnant, I spent hours Googling everything I could about Down syndrome. I literally did not know one single person with Down syndrome, and I wanted so desperately to know more about you - who you might be and even what you might look like.

I remember Googling “baby boy with Down syndrome, brown hair, brown eyes” because I was convinced that’s exactly what you would have. One characteristic I fell completely in love with was Brushfield spots in the eyes. I remember thinking, Well, that’s one thing he probably won’t have because he’ll have brown eyes.

And then you were born!

The fairest skin. Blonde hair. The most beautiful blue eyes. And the most heavenly Brushfield spots.

You’ve always been my little curveball. 💙

We may not always understand why our path looks different, but I can promise you this - the Lord has walked ahead of us every single step of the way. This path is the one made for us. 🫶🏽

We are the lucky ones.

Baby August...still all these years later- my most favorite picture and remains my lock screen.

I found this old picture today.

Sometimes an old photo doesn’t make you miss a moment.

It makes you miss a version of yourself.

This girl had no idea what life would bring. She didn’t know it yet, but life would ask her to carry more than she ever imagined. She still dreamed of marriage and babies, but she also knew herself. She trusted her instincts. She said yes to what lit her up and no to what didn’t. She laughed loudly. She took up space. She believed she deserved a beautiful life.

Somewhere along the way, I slowly stopped listening to that voice. It wasn’t all at once, and I don’t even know that I realized it was happening. I became smaller. Quieter. More focused on keeping the peace than honoring myself.

When I look at this picture now, I don’t wish I could go back.

I just want to become her again.

Not the younger version—but the woman who trusted herself. The woman who wasn’t afraid to take up space. The woman who remembered who she was before she started looking to everyone else to tell her who she should be.

Maybe that’s what this season is really about.

Not reinventing myself.

Remembering myself.

Coming home to the woman I’ve always been.

Another month of DeeTox Dermatology, Aesthetics & Wellness and Nikole Cluff saving my skin! ✨🤍

When people ask my favorite treatment, the list is LONG… but dermaplaning has become one thing I now leave to the professionals, and the difference in my skin has been incredible.

A customized HydraFacial + dermaplaning = smooth, fresh, glowing skin that makeup glides over and skincare actually absorbs into. 🙌🏽

If you’ve been thinking about treating yourself, JUNE is the perfect time! Book a customized clinical facial or HydraFacial and receive complimentary dermaplaning.

Her birthday wish list was simple:
✈️ Fly to Florida
🌊 Stay on the Gulf side
❤️ Bring only Uncle B and Mama

She definitely knows who the best travel buddies are. 😅

30A was the perfect place for celebrating. Rosemary was a dream and Alys Beach stole our hearts! We biked everywhere, wandered through cute shops, ate the best food, soaked up beach days, and made memories we'll treasure forever.

I’m finally sorting through all the photos and videos, so fair warning…I’m about to spam your feed a little. 😅 But this trip was too special not to share.
