Eric George, a musician from Ponyhustle performed in the barn during breakfast at The Golden Dog Farm's maple syrup open house event, which featured maple syrup with pancakes and wine and mimosas courtesy of David Keck, the Master Sommelier of the beautiful vineyard.

*Note that I do not drink, but I still appreciate vineyards, which are prevalent across Vermont.

Writing for children and teaching a child how to read is a passion I can’t live without. I feel pure joy when I write for children. I also love to teach students how to become more proficient readers and writers. The first time I saw joy in a child’s face because she could read, I realized that reading and writing were activities I wanted to devote the rest of my life to. Moreover, becoming a mother has increased my love for the art of reading and writing and my will to set a good foundation for my son’s life long learning.

I produces a radio show for kids named Tunes and Tales on 88.9 KRFC FM Radio Fort Collins. Tunes and Tales provides a forum for children to hear stories read out loud by published picture book, middle grade, and YA authors. Kids can get their wiggles out to music performed by local musicians, theatre groups, and entertainers, and with songs from the latest albums of children’s music.
