How well does your husband REALLY know you? 😂❤️

I asked Scott random questions — from where he’d look for me if I disappeared to what my warning label should be. 😂 His answers were… pretty telling.

After 4 years of marriage and blending a family, apparently he knows me pretty well. 🤣

How would your spouse do with these questions?

Not a good cook? Same. 😂 But this easy party snack is ALWAYS a hit!

If you need a quick appetizer to take to a party, tailgate, girls’ night or family get-together, save this one. Minimal effort + everyone loves it = my kind of recipe. 🙌

Save this for the next time you’re wondering what to bring to a party!

Do our kids ever try to play us against each other? 😂 In a blended family with six kids, they definitely know which parent to ask depending on what they want!

One thing we’ve learned about blended family parenting is how important it is to communicate and stay on the same page—even when the kids know exactly who’s more likely to say yes. 🤣

Anyone else’s kids know which parent to ask?

If you’ve been looking for a polished, practical work bag, this Mark & Graham tote has been such a good one! 🤎

It fits my laptop, work essentials and everything else I somehow carry around all day 😂 — while still looking professional and put together.

Someone asked us a question we’ve actually gotten before — does Scott still spend time with his late wife’s family, and am I included?

The answer may be a little different than people expect, but one thing I’m incredibly grateful for is how welcoming they have always been to me. 🤍

There are so many relationships and emotions that come with blending a family after loss, and we’ve learned there isn’t one “right” way to navigate them. This is simply what it looks like for our family.

Me: “I don’t need another pair of pants.”
Also me: buying these in 3 colors 😅 These are THE viral pants everyone’s talking about — stretchy, lightweight, and so comfortable you could sleep in them, but cute enough for brunch or the airport. Travel days just got a major upgrade ✈️

Worth It Wednesday: Chatbooks 📸🤍

If making a family photo book has been sitting on your to-do list forever, this one is for you.

I finally made a Chatbooks photo book with our 2025 memories, and the BEST part? I paid a little extra and they made the entire book for me. 🙌 No spending hours choosing layouts or arranging photos — and it arrived so quickly!

For a busy mom who wants the memories without another project on her list, this was 100% worth it.

5 things we think are actually worth the money 💰😂

Couples edition — and apparently Scott and I have some opinions. We sat down to talk about the things we’re willing to spend a little more on, and this turned into one of those conversations that was way more fun than we expected.

Some practical. Some definitely debatable. And maybe a few things we don’t completely agree on. 😂

If you’re married or in a relationship, tell us — what’s ONE thing you both agree is 100% worth the money?

We both struggle with a life we weren’t a part of — just in very different ways.

One of the things we’ve learned about second marriage and blended family life is that you don’t just bring your own experiences into a marriage. You also step into a life your spouse lived before you.

For Scott, that can mean feeling like an outsider when conversations turn to memories and experiences he wasn’t there for.

For me, it can mean comparison and insecurity about a chapter of his life I wasn’t part of.

Neither one is necessarily rational or anyone’s fault — but both are real. And talking about those feelings instead of pretending they aren’t there has been important for our marriage.

If you’re remarried or part of a blended family, have you ever struggled with your spouse’s life before you? ❤️

One thing we don’t talk about enough in blended families is the baggage we can bring into a second marriage.

When you’ve experienced loss, grief, divorce or the end of a marriage, it can create fears that don’t just disappear because you’ve found love again. ❤️

For us, some of those fears have shown up in ways we didn’t expect — and learning to recognize where they come from has been an important part of our marriage.

Blending a family isn’t just about bringing kids and households together. Sometimes it’s about learning how to love each other through what came before, too.
