I had a thought today after an author representation call about how many offers come through for my clients that ultimately we pass on. It’s never an easy decision to walk away from advances or opportunities to work with publishers, but sometimes it’s in the best financial or emotional interest for our author clients pass on offers. My clients know that when I recommend we take a deal it is the best deal on the table, but also for their career and goals as an author.

The STA website is undergoing a glow up!! My favorite feature right now is that the three books on the header rotate with every visit so all our incredible clients are showcased! I do this because I have had editors at BIG FIVE publishing houses contact me because of clients they saw on the STA website. We have producers looking through represented titles, and even media and PR companies with event opportunities. Okay that’s all for now! Just so excited to share xoxo 😚

Honestly guys, I just want to read today! I’m really selective on the partials that I request, and so I am pausing going through the queries. I love reading it’s one of my favorite parts of the job and I absolutely just need to print off some paper, hold it close, and get engrossed in a new world or a new character! Also, I forgot to mention that if you missed query me the incredible Kaitlin Des Roches | Literary Agent will be open for queries next week.

I am starting off my Monday morning by working on submissions for clients. It is one of my favorite things and reminds me again. Why I absolutely love what I do!

Quick (amazing) update: I am open for two more days for queries, and have received over 600. Writers are truly amazing and I love this industry. I have sent out three or four partial request from what I’ve gotten through so far as as well as requested one full manuscript this morning. Yay!! 🫶🖤
