🚨UPDATE…we were taken to the spot where this photo was taken and did not see Fern. We will go back out in the morning to look for her again. Law enforcement was contacted to attempt to ensure she is safely returned to us if she is found at this location.🚨

We have a potential sighting of Fern and are going out to see if it is her.

We have contacted the eye witness who has confirmed that this AI generated picture looks exactly like the truck and trailer that loaded up Fern on Friday morning. This is the exact location she was seen being loaded up around 9am on Friday September 4, 2026 in Calhoun, GA.

Please let us know if you have seen Fern or these vehicles.

🚨LITTLE FINGER FARM NEEDS YOUR HELP! Pictured is Fern, and it is believed she was taken from Little Finger Farm, located on Pine Chapel Road in Calhoun. According to Little Finger Farm, Fern was picked up and loaded into a blue rusty trailer being towed by a white older pickup. The owners say witnesses watched two men load her into the trailer at the corner of Pine Chapel and Moss Road around 9 a.m. on Friday morning.

Owners are desperately trying to locate Fern or the people who took her so Fern can be brought home.

Fern is a Red Highland Heifer and is incredibly missed. She belongs to Little Finger Farm in Calhoun.

Law enforcement has been notified and a report has been filed. Anyone with any information is asked to call (757) 240-3026.

Updated pictures and description on the vehicle seen loading Fern on Friday about 9am at the corner of Pine Chapel and Moss Road.

Truck: Square body older Chevy truck. White in color. Rusty.

Trailer: Dark Blue bumper pull trailer. Rusty.

Two men: one had a ball cap. Looked to be having a difficult time loading her.

Police reports have been updated and we are asking for anyone who has seen either of these vehicles to please contact us immediately.

We want to get Fern home!

🚨UPDATE🚨

There was a sighting less than a mile from our house yesterday morning of Fern being loaded up in a trailer by two men.

Time: 9am
Location: the corner of Pine Chapel Rd and Moss Rd
Vehicle: older Chevy pickup truck - long body
Trailer: blue trailer with rust on it

I have called and update the police report and notified local land owners near us to be on the look out for the vehicle and trailer.

We are asking if any local gas stations or stores in our area have video surveillance of their parking lots that could assist us in locating the vehicle used to transport her.

We are still out looking every day for Fern and hope we can bring her home soon. As we get location sightings we will reach out for any specific needs or requests for help.

A sweet red Highland cow named Fern is on the loose in Calhoun, and her family is hoping someone spots her. 🌿🐮

Fern got out near Pine Chapel and Moss Road and has been seen in the area, but she hasn’t been safely brought home yet.

She has a yellow #5 ear tag and her family is asking neighbors and anyone traveling through the area to keep an eye out.

They’ve been searching with drones, including thermal imaging, checking pastures, tree lines and ATV trails, and moving trail cameras around areas where Fern may be traveling.

Her family says their animals are incredibly loved, and they’re doing everything they can to find her.

Friday morning Fern update 🌿

Well, we gave it a valiant effort last night with the drone and moved some trail cameras to different spots in hopes of seeing Fern.

There were a lot of deer sightings and some of my neighbors cows also got a cameo appearance 📷

The next plan is to ride and hike ATV trails to check the terrain that was harder to see on the drone due to the dense foliage.

We are also going to put out more bait near the re-located trail cameras to try to draw her in.

Mid-day Fern update 🌿

I have contacted additional agricultural organizations and resources in the county to help get the word out about Fern.

We will be out with the drone again tonight and also searching the nearby ATV trails.

I’m hoping the areas we baited with food will show some activity, and we are double checking water sources too.

I’m including an updated picture of Fern.

It was a late night, so a bit of a delayed Fern update.

We spent several more hours looking with the infra-red drone last night and also put out feed and molasses in areas she was previously spotted in.

We contacted the local feed stores and thankfully they had already seen our posts.

We are going to continue to check all the open pastures and waterways around the property. The drone will back out again tonight to check the baited areas and help widen our search area.

I’m so thankful for everyone sharing and offering suggestions. Once we find her we can come up with a game plan for getting her back home.
