Fox 103.5 FM & News Partner Calhoun Times Say Congrats!

All 17 Georgia Northwestern Technical College (GNTC) graduates in the Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) program have passed a national nursing licensure exam this year on their first attempt and achieved a 100% pass rate.

This year is the third consecutive year that 100% of GNTC’s ASN graduates have passed the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) to become a Registered Nurse on their first attempt.

Fox 103.5 FM & All Law Enforcement Agencies Remind Us Bus Safety....
•When you're driving behind a school bus, make sure to keep a bigger distance than you would if you were behind a regular car. This gives you extra time to brake when the yellow lights start flashing. Remember, it's against the law in all 50 states to pass a school bus that has its lights on and stop sign extended.
•Don't ever pass a school bus from behind or from either side if you're on a road without a divider and the bus has come to a stop.
•If the red lights are flashing and the stop arm is out, ALL TRAFFIC HAS TO STOP. (The yellow caution lights on a school bus are similar to those at a traffic light, so if you can stop, you should.)
•The area within 12 feet around a school bus is the most hazardous for kids, so make sure to stop far enough back to give them room to safely get on and off the bus.
•Always stick to the posted speed limit and avoid distractions while driving.
•Stay alert, as children can be unpredictable; they often overlook dangers and take risks.
