Independence 🤔?🇲🇼

Saw our flag on my walk earlier and I was thinking. How can we truly celebrate when we’re poorer today than we were in 1964? What kind of independence leaves millions unemployed, youth drowning in debt, and women forced to trade s&x for promotions?

Since independence, we’ve changed leaders, but not our reality. Every president, past and present, has either failed us or had no real vision for the people.

So ask youself, are we really independent?
Or are we just surviving under a different kind of oppression one with a local face and no accountability?

This isn’t freedom
It’s just a flag over broken promises, sadly😢.

Abs Ain’t Free. Neither Is Weight Loss!
Remember when I said, “Let’s do this together”? Yeah, me too. Y’all disappeared just like the FAT I lost.

My advice to both men and women:
Don’t date above your tax bracket. It may sound simple, but there’s a reason. Even in boxing you’re not allowed to punch above your weight, it’s a mismatch that rarely ends well.
Remember tax bracket, put love aside.

Father’s Day

A moment to recognise who fathers are and yet, it’s a day that often goes unnoticed. It’s spoken about less, celebrated quietly, and sometimes even the men themselves forget.

But fatherhood is more than biology. Some become fathers through adoption. Others step into the role later in life, mentoring or guiding grown adults with the same care and commitment.

Being a father comes with challenges that are often overlooked. I am not asking for praise or sympathy, just understanding. Fatherhood isn't easy, and it’s rarely simple.

Days like this can also be difficult for those who are trying to conceive, those who have lost children, or those who long to be fathers but cannot. To them, today can feel like a reminder of absence instead of presence. My thoughts are with you, your journey, your grief, and your hope matter.

However you show up today, as a father, a father figure, someone who misses their dad, or someone grieving the dream of fatherhood, I see you.

Let’s stop glorifying poor health conditions.
People say, “Don’t stress me, I’ve got BP,” like it’s some badge of honour. Okay, but what are you doing about it?

You’re gaining weight unchecked, eating lots of junk, drinking like there’s no tomorrow, smoking heavily, and still shocked when heart attacks, mini strokes and kidney failures show up at your door.

I won’t tiptoe around your health negligence just because “you’ve BP, caused by high cholesterol.”
*Prevention starts with you. Accountability starts with you.

If they don’t respect you they cannot love you. Let that sink in your head. If a girl or man constantly disrespects you there is no way they can claim to love you. I will explain in details another day.

I have been struggling finding a balance in my life lately, but I’m healthy, strong, and most importantly, I have the freedom to choose what I eat. That alone is a blessing. These problems will always be there.

Men are also a problem here! 🤔🤔🤦🏽‍♂️
A few days ago, I wrote that many married men aren’t truly happy in their marriages and often, it’s because of their wives.

Right after, my cousin hit me with a reminder:�“Don’t forget the same guy who wrote, ‘He who finds a wife finds a good thing’ also said, ‘It’s better to live in a desert than share a house with a quarrelsome wife… better to sleep under a leaking roof than share a bed with a loud woman… better to freeze in the attic than deal with constant nagging.’”

Then another friend replied, �“The issue is men are chasing Nyash and beauty instead of true connection. They want a wife that looks good for the public not someone who aligns with their soul. They want a baddie.”

So now I’m wondering…�Are we, as men, the real problem when it comes to who we choose to marry? 🤦🏽‍♂️
