People keep asking why our apartment still looks unfinished…

Truth is—we’re doing it intentionally.

Instead of filling our apartment with furniture, we’re keeping things simple because our goal isn’t to stay here forever.

Temporary comfort.
Long-term dream 🏡🤍

Would you fully decorate your apartment or save for your future home?

After 15yrs of working, it feels strange to suddenly have so much time while waiting for my SSN and green card.

Some days I miss having deadlines.

Some days I enjoy cleaning our apartment, cooking healthy meals, and simply being present.

This season is temporary but I’m learning there’s beauty even in the waiting.

What’s something unexpected you learned during a slower season of life?

I officially entered my "US Tita Era" on Day 2. 💅🏽✨

Day 1 was just about surviving the jet lag.

Day 2 is the real test: turning an empty apartment into our home. It’s funny how paper towels and kitchen mats can feel so emotional when it’s for your very first place together. 🥹🤍

We came for a few things, left with the first pieces of our new life. 🇵🇭➡️🇺🇸🏠

POV: You land in America and move into your first Apartment on the same night

Our airbed didn’t arrive on time so we slept on the floor on our first night 😅

Nobody talks enough about this part of moving abroad.

You can be grateful for the opportunity...

and still miss home.

You can be excited about your future...

and still grieve what you left behind.

Both can be true.

If you've ever felt homesick while building a new life, you're not alone.

The God who brought you to this new chapter is still with you in it.
