I wasn’t even looking for her… but somehow, she found me. 💔
This tiny baby girl must’ve fallen from a tree earlier today. I found her curled up on the ground, trembling and so helpless. I wrapped her in a towel and brought her inside, hoping she’d feel safe enough to rest.
She’s been sleeping almost nonstop since then… maybe exhausted, maybe still in shock. Her eyes are open now — she looks to be around 4 weeks old — but every now and then, she lets out these soft little cries that just break my heart. 😢
I’ve ordered squirrel formula and I’m waiting for it to arrive, but I can’t help worrying if I’m doing enough. Is it normal for her to sleep this much? I just want her to make it through the night.
If anyone has experience with baby squirrels, please share your advice. I’m really hoping this little one gets another chance at life. 💕🐿️

I hadn’t seen Austin for 4 days, and I started to get worried. The last time I saw her, she was being chased by another squirrel, probably the one that gave her degloved tail. As I walking from my car to the front door, she came running from the tree & and waited for me at the front door. That just made my day! She had a handful of black oil sunflower seeds, one of her favorites. Love how her paws made a heart shape 🧡
