Nobody seems to be talking about this, so I will.
There’s a massive s.c.a.m that has been going on in Nigeria and across other African countries for a while now.
These s.c.a.m.m.e.r.s come disguised as foundations or NGOs, promising grants to poor and struggling people.
They ask you to buy and fill forms, and then later demand “small contributions” to facilitate the grant process.
What breaks my heart the most is that it’s often our parents people between the ages of 30 and 60 who fall for this.
Even some young people are being deceived.
These f.r.a.u.d.s.t.e.r.s sit in offices, come up with a random name, add “foundation” or “grant” to it, and start extort.ing poor, unsuspecting people.
If you have a loved one who’s talking about an NGO grant, please ask questions.
Check the WhatsApp group, that’s usually their main base.
Once they start saying things like, “the money is tied up in a manager’s account and will soon land,” and they keep asking for small contributions, it’s fake.
As fake as a Gucci bag from Aba market.
It’s sad that people still fall for these things but even sadder that there are wic.ked people behind it all.
To the masterminds of these s.c.a.m.s: may it never be well with you.
