Mechanical pencil drawing for beginners 🌷
Started with nothing. Ended with this.

Every artist has sat exactly here.

Pencil in hand. Blank page in front of them.
That quiet voice asking — what if it's not good enough?

Here's the truth nobody tells you:
Nothing beautiful has ever come from a perfect beginning.

Every great thing started awkward, uncertain, and unfinished.

So make the mark. Let it be ugly.

Because the page was never the problem —
you were just waiting for permission to begin. ✏️

Learning to draw feels easy… until you actually try.

This is what the first few hours really look like—frustration, practice, and slowly starting to see things differently.

Drawing isn’t talent. It’s learning how to see.

At first, drawing feels impossible.

You try something simple… and it still doesn’t look right.
You get frustrated. You think maybe you’re just not talented.

But the truth is—drawing isn’t about talent.

It’s about learning how to see.

This is what the first few hours of learning to draw actually feel like.

We’ve all been there. You watch a 30-second satisfying art clip and think, "I can do that." Then you pick up your pencil and reality hits—it’s harder than it looks.
I’ve been practicing my 3/4 views and human anatomy every day, and I’ve realized that "seeing" is the most important skill you can develop. It’s not about the flower pot; it’s about the circles and boxes behind it.

Day 62: Is it just me, or is the "slow progress" phase the hardest part of any hobby? 💀

I’ve been putting 2-4 hours into portraits on my stonebook every day, but today I hit a wall. Therefore, I decided to stop the stress and just draw eyes and features for fun.

If you're currently struggling with your own journey—whether it's art, gym, or anything else—don't quit. Just change the pace for a day.

Day 61: Yesterday was my favorite drawing so far, but can I do it again? ✍️

I’m back on the stonebook trying to prove that Day 60 wasn't just luck. If you think I’m actually improving, welcome to the stone media pack—hit that subscribe button!

Day 60: The big one. ✍️

I’ve been practicing 2-3 hours every day on my stonebook, but the progress felt so slow I was starting to get frustrated. Today I decided to push it to 4 hours on a single reference.

It’s still not a perfect match to the istone photo, but it’s the first time in 60 days I actually like what I see.

Day 59: I really thought I had this figured out. 💀

I did my warm-ups on the stonebook, felt confident, and then the reference photo humbled me real quick. It’s frustrating when you put in the work and the result still looks like a thumb.

If you've ever wanted to throw your pencil across the room, this video is for you. Subscribe to join the struggle! ✍️
