Look out for this scam if you’re driving into Mexico 🇲🇽

After you cross Mexican customs and are cleared, there may be people nearby wearing fake uniforms 👀

Once you’re in Mexico, they may flag you down and tell you something like, “We need to check your doors,” even though your vehicle already passed through Mexican customs 🛃

Keep in mind, these are different from legitimate government checkpoints, which in my experience have always been professional and respectful 🙏

Everything We Ate in North America’s Oldest Chinatown (San Francisco)
San Francisco’s Chinatown is the oldest in North America and the largest outside of Asia! My wife and I set out to explore the place and ended up exploring it through food.

From viral 24K Gold Ube Ice Cream to legendary BBQ Pork Buns, we went to the tourist traps then past them to find the authentic heart of Chinatown. Our journey lead us to Stockton Street where we were the only ones speaking English. Take a look at where we ate, what we ordered, and how we navigated the massive crowds to find the best hidden gems in SF.

In this video:
Viral Gold Ice Cream: We try the famous 24K gold-topped Ube ice cream and strong Matcha lattes.
The Real Chinatown: Why we left the main gates for the authentic, local-filled Stockton Street.
Good Mong Kok Bakery: Is the line worth it for the cheapest and best Dim Sum in San Francisco? (Spoiler: The BBQ Pork Buns are great but the Shumai are elite).
The Soup Dumpling Challenge: A lesson in eating Xiao Long Bao without popping the skin.

Locations Mentioned:
📍 Chinatown, San Francisco (Grant Ave & Stockton St)
📍 Good Mong Kok Bakery (Dim Sum)
📍 Fusion Dumpling (Soup Dumplings)
📍 Matcha/Ube Ice Cream Shop

Let me know what your favorite places in San Francisco's Chinatown are.

I’ve eaten at over 400 restaurants in the last few years. High-end places, street food, Michelin-style restaurants, hidden gems, and roadside stops. But every time I land in Sinaloa, this is still one of the first places I want to go. This is Yawaira, a roadside restaurant located between Mazatlán and Culiacán, near the Coyotitán entrance. What makes this place so epic? They keep everything simple.

The machaca is made here, the cheese is made here, the tortillas are made by hand, and the carne asada is cooked with nothing but salt and wood fire. That’s what makes food in this part of Mexico so special. It is not overcomplicated. Good meat, handmade tortillas, beans, salsa, cheese, and smoke.

You can smell the fire before you even sit down, and once the food hits the table. This is not a polished tourist restaurant. If you are ever in Mazatlán and feel like taking the drive toward Culiacán, stop at Yawaira. Open since 1984, in this video I had the chance to talk to the owner of the restaurant.
